SEEN: The One Who Never Looked Away

Key Scripture: “You are the God who sees me.” — Genesis 16:13 (NIV)

Have you ever walked into a room and felt invisible?

Maybe you’ve smiled while quietly wondering if anyone truly saw the pain behind your smile. Maybe you’ve experienced rejection, disappointment, loneliness, or heartbreak that left you questioning your worth. You may have wondered, “Does anyone really see me?”

The beautiful truth is this: God does.

The story of Hagar in Genesis reminds us that God sees us in our most difficult moments. Rejected, alone, and hurting, Hagar encountered the Lord in the wilderness and gave Him the name El Roi, “the God who sees me.” She discovered that even when others overlooked her, God never did.

That is the heart of the SEEN ministry.

SEEN exists to remind every woman that she is deeply loved, fully known, and intentionally created by God. Your identity is not determined by rejection, your past, your mistakes, or someone else’s opinion of you. Your identity is found in the Father who formed you, calls you by name, and delights in you.

No matter what you’ve walked through, God has never taken His eyes off you. He has seen every tear, heard every prayer, and remained faithful through every season.

If you’ve been feeling unseen, unnoticed, or forgotten, I want to encourage you today: You are not invisible to God. He is still writing your story, still healing your heart, and still calling you into the purpose He has prepared for you.

May SEEN be a place where women find encouragement, healing, hope, and the confidence to see themselves through the Father’s eyes.

Prayer

Heavenly Father,

Thank You for seeing me completely and loving me unconditionally. When I feel invisible, remind me that I am always seen by You. Heal every wound caused by rejection, restore my confidence, and help me find my identity in Your love rather than in the opinions of others. Teach me to see myself through Your eyes and to walk confidently in the purpose You have for my life.

In Jesus’ name,
Amen.

Scripture for Reflection

“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” Psalm 34:18 (NIV)
